Demonspace

 
It’s beautiful out there where demons dance,
and once you’ve seen that outward demonspace
it’s hard for you to stay within the Game.
If you don’t know about the demonspace,
you think you’re in a closed environment,
a maze of intersecting corridors
that you can comfortably negotiate,
but once you’ve seen the demons dancing there
in demonspace, you fade out through the walls,
you rise up weightlessly right through the roof.
To stay below, to stay within the Game,
you have to concentrate and really try
continually, but it’s tiring
and won’t seem worth the effort frequently,
and you’ll space out; your particles will pass
between the particles of wall or roof
and you’ll be gone, out there in demonspace.
